Step 2 - Root Barrier

Above your structural deck you will normally have a vapour control layer if required, insulation and a waterproofing membrane. Whatever the membrane it is important to check it is root resistant; the ICB range of waterproofing membranes are. If your chosen membrane is not then a root resistant layer must be installed over it making sure joints are sufficiently overlapped and or sealed to protect against root damage to the weathering. We recommend the DIADEM^® FLW 400.
