Step 4 - Drainage/Reservoir Boards

Good quality drainage and reservoir boards are designed to both hold the water the plants need and discharge excess. The amount of water needed to be retained and allowed to run off will depend on the type of planting and is controlled by the depth of the boards.

DIADEM^® offer 3 basic sizes: DiaDrain 25mm, 40mm and 60mm for extensive, semi- intensive and intensive roof gardens.

In addition a heavy duty version is available, the MDE 60, which provides a fixing base without the need to penetrate the waterproofing membrane.
