Escape the Urban Heat Island Effect with EvaGreen®

Approximately half of the world's population live in cities, with this number growing year after year. The natural permeable landscape has been replaced by impermeable skyscrapers and office blocks that store and generate heat at such a rate that they can be as much as 50°C hotter than the surrounding air. This is called the Urban Heat Island Effect.

However, as a large proportion of every city is made up of rooftops, these present almost limitless opportunities to combat the higher temperatures and increased air pollution. By replacing conventional roofs with green roofs - such as EvaGreen® 150, 350 and 750 - we can begin offsetting the heat island effect whilst breathing new life into our urban landscapes.
